National Day of Thanksgiving

Something quite exciting is happening this year, and it's come from our Governor General (the Queen's representative in Australia). It's called the National Day of Thanksgiving. The idea behind the day is "Thanking God, Thanking Others." How awesome is that!

Check out the website: www.thanksgiving.org.au. I am so encouraged that our government wants to thank God and acknowledge the lordship of Jesus Christ over the nation of Australia. Our church is throwing a bug BBQ in town to thank the people of this city and bless them on the day. It is also the day of our wedding renewal.

As Big Kev would say, "I'm Excited!"

Wedding: The Sequel

Well, it's just a few days until Linda and I have our 'Wedding Renewal of Vows' for our Tasmanian family and friends who couldn't travel up for the real thing. We've got a lot of things organised, like the running of the actual service, but we still have to work out decerations and stuff like that. This is less stressful than the last time because it's more like we're planning a party than a wedding. It should be a lot of fun.

Nanna is out of ICU now and is continuing to improve slowly. Please continue your prayers for her.

Talk to me :)

I'm pleased to announce that this page is now interactive, meaning that you can now contribute by sharing your own thoughts. Anyone can comment. Let's start with something simple like a roll call. Is there actually anybody out there reading this stuff? Say hi and let me know you're there :)

Prayer for my grandmother

Please continue to pray for my grandmother. She's had open heart surgery and has been recovering for quite some time. Physically, there have been a number of complications but she is improving all the time. However, being stuck in hospital for so long is getting her down a bit.
