Pentecost 2006

Last saturday, Pentecost 2006, was the National Day of Thanksgiving in Australia. At night, there were combined church services all across the country. My chrch was one of these venues. It is always exciting to see different denominations joining together to worship.

Part of the service was a celebration of the fact that 400 years ago, an explorer made a prophetic declaration over Australia and surrounding nations. These nations were not yet discovered, but were claimed for the Holy Spirit.

As part of the celebration, the combined Christian church made this declaration.
