Christian Video Library Website to Launch (octillion)

A new website is to be launched at this year's Hillsong Conferance. It will be a library of Australian and international video content which can be purchased and downloaded at near TV quality. There is also a category for free content.

The site (www.octillion.tv) is online right now. The concept sounds promising to me. Video is certainly a medium that the church needs to be using more and more. In our culture, TV and film are two of the most Influential things around. AT first glance the site looks like a good framework for delivering video, and will be especially useful to those who do not have access to Christian television.

It occurs to me that a logical extension might be to give the ability for ameteur Christian film-makers to contribute their own content. The problem that stems from this of course is monitoring the quality and suitability of the content.

I am going to keep an eye on this one.
