Regular Cast

  • Professor Jor-el. Owner of the largest research laboratory on Krypton and Minister of the sciences for the House of Ministers. Jor-el is also leader of his family - Clan El. His younger brother Zor-el has a son in his twenties - Mal-el, who runs Jor-el's science fleet.
  • Lara Lor-van. A religious librarian and the daughter of Lor-van, one of the great scientific minds of the current age. Her father is also suspected to be a prophet. He has a deep understanding of religion. Lara is forming a friendship with Jor-el.
  • Diplomacy Minister Far-ez. A longstanding member of the council and the Minister for Diplomacy. His task often involves serving as a mediator for the other races in helping them solve their disputes.
  • Attache Kel-tar. Assistant to Minister Far-ez. He is being trainined to some day replace his mentor as Diplomacy Minister.
  • Chancellor Tola-fee. Leader of the council. A career politician most of his life. Most concerned with order and preserving the status quo on Krypton. Not willing to accept radical change.
  • Mal-el. Nephew of Jor-el and son of Zor-el. Mal-el is in charge of Jor-el's science fleet. He will one day inherit the leadership of the clan El from his uncle, unless Jor-el marries and produces an heir; which seems unlikely given Jor-el's age.
  • General Zod. A decorated war hero from the Beloovian war. His family were all killed. He was born Zod-ar but dropped his family suffix in honour of his dead family, to remind himself that what is lost can never be regained. Zod serves as Defense Minister to the council and believes strongly in the rule of order.

Season 1

  • Written in the Ice. A science ship is destroyed by the Milrathi while studying a barren planet. Jor-el is given an artifact which contains an ancient prophecy.
  • Echoes of the Future.Jorel and Lara attempt to authenticate the prophecy of Ro-ker. Zod confronts the Milrathi about the recent attacks. Far-ez and Kel-tar assist two warring races to reach a compromise.
  • Loyalty and Success. Mal-el is approached by a rival Research house with an offer of employment and must decide whether to leave his Uncle or turn down the job. Lara introduces Jor-el to her father, Lor-van. Jor-el decides to bring the prophecy or Ro-ker to the Coucil of Ministers.
  • The Phantom Zone. A freak accident in Jor-el's science lab creates a dimensional rift and causes Jor-el to become trapped in a great void.
  • Coverup. The council announces that the prophecy of Ro-ker is frudulent and decides to supress it. They do not wish to create a panic. The police question Jor-el about Phil-ah, saying he stole some 'classified items' from an archeological dig. Phil-ah meets with Jor-el. Jor-el presses him and Phil-ah confesses that he is not an archeologist, but he stole the cube from them to prevent it being covered-up. Lara and her father believe the prophecy is genuine. Mal-el discovers his mother is pregnant.
  • Alternate. While conducting studies on the 'Phantom Zone' rift, an alternate Jor-el from another dimension appears. It soon becomes apparent his personality is very different and that he has come here to conquer this dimension. Jor-el asks Lara to marry him.
  • Yellow Sun. Jor-el leads a scientific survey of a pre-industrial world in orbit of a type-3 star. His crew soon discover that they are developing strange powers. At the same time, crewmembers from the engine room begin suffering from an inexplicable sickness. One of the scientists, uses his newfound powers to set himself up as a god over the natives of the planet.

Season 2

  • The Super Man. The scientist who has set himself up as a god on a pre-industrial planet is growing stronger every day. He has even learnt to fly. As Jor-el tries to find a way to prevent the man from abusing these people, he makes a startling discovery. The Kryptonite from the ship's engine core can be used to neautralise him.
  • Eternal Bond. Festivities are high as Jor-el and Lara Lor-van marry. The ceremony is interuppted when Zor-el's wife goes into labour.
  • Son of Jor-el. An elderly man appears, claiming to be Jor-el's son from the future. He says they never got to know each other when he was growing up and he wants to spend some time with his father. It soon becomes apparent though, that all is not what it seems.
  • Miracle. Jor-el discovers he and Lara are going to be parents.
  • The Hand of Evil. Lara becomes trapped in a hostage situation. She is injured and looses her baby. Following the death of their unborn baby, Lara tells Jor-el she doesn't want to have any more children.
  • Uprising. While Jor-el and Lara deal with their grief over the death of their daughter, Sara Jor-el, General Zod is called to quell an uprising on one of Krypton's contients.
